I have worried a great deal about the peace and happiness of my men. I love to make them comfortable here in Heorot and to welcome everyone, however, I can't stand the thought of another death here, and I won't sit by idly and watch. I've instructed Beowulf to protect my sons and after meeting him, I can see that he is a great and honorable man with an incredible sense of loyalty. He followed my orders after killing Grendal and has had monumental success in killing his mother as well. Without Beowulf, my sons could not have the bright future they do now.
